FR2LE - General Description

The Fostex FR-2LE has been designed specifically for location sound recording; high quality sound effects acquisition; TV & radio documentary; in fact any application where quality audio recording is required.

With excellent quality (up to 24-bit / 96KHz recording), BWF or MP3 file acquisition, extended battery life, huge feature list and a cost-effective price point, the FR-2LE offers users a more flexible, high quality audio acquisition machine without sacrificing features.

The Fostex FR-2 LE is a 2-channel compact field recorder that records stereo or mono BWF or MP3 files to Type II CompactFlash or Microdrive cards with up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. The unit features built-in phantom powering, editing functionality, and USB 2.0, allowing high-speed transfer to Mac or PC computers. A pre-record buffer ensures full-take recording with no inadvertant loss.
