Kramer TP-300FW Firewire Twisted Pair Transmitter/Receiver and Range Extender

TP-300FW - General Description

The TP-300FW is a twisted pair transmitter or receiver for FireWire® (IEEE 1394) signals. When used as a pair, one converts a FireWire® signal into a twisted pair signal and the other converts the twisted pair back to a FireWire® signal and simultaneously outputs the twisted pair signal to another TP-300FW.

TP-300FW - Features

• Ports - 1 6-pin serial 1394 FireWire port; 2 RJ-45 STP/UTP ports.
• System Range - Up to 100m (320ft) and up to 200m (640ft) using a 3rd TP-300FW.
• Cable - STP (shielded twisted pair) such as CAT 5.
• ESD Protection - Incorporates Kramer’s Spark-Guard™ signal protection circuitry to help protect against ESD (electrostatic discharge) which can damage digital equipment.
• Compact Kramer TOOLS™ - 3 units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-3T rack adapter.
