Viewcast Osprey 440 PCI Capture CardGeneral DescriptionWith the capability to simultaneously capture four independent channels of audio and video, the Osprey®-440 PCI-X™ capture card is a good choice for broadcasters and government agencies. The benefits of higher channel density include efficiencies and cost savings achieved through reduced space requirements and being able to encode multiple channels on one encoding system instead of four. And, as with all Osprey capture cards, quality and reliability come standard. Users can connect up to 16 cameras or other video sources to a single card and use software to switch between them as needed for surveillance applications that require monitoring of multiple feeds. Alarm relays on each channel can activate a user-defined event as determined by the user's applications. For example, motion is detected, a light flashes, and a camera switches on to start capturing movement at 30 frames per second.
